when duplicating contents, the contents are copied and their workflow are initialized. The contents have their own workflow, they can be edited without impacting the initial contents and inversely. That's like new contents.
when copying without duplicating contents, they are shared contents, that is to say this is the same contents. So if contents are validated on copied page, they will be validated in new page.
