In safemode, starting a new project with an old database failed

      even if I remove my repository

          The switch to safemode reason is the key.
          We would require a fullstacktrace to know in your case why it switches.
          But it appears that the migration has nothing to deal with this apparently since all init stuffs were already not safe before the 4.3
