There may hundreds or thousands of incoming references, we simply cannot display all of them in the properties panel (nor send them from the server, it's useless).
Instead, we may provide a counter ('XX contents references this entry' or 'this entry is references by XX links').
In a second step, we could imagine a content grid (with pagination) listing all incoming references.
