At this time the 3.3 can ping Google, it could be nice to add in the _admin another checkbox to ping BING:
http://onlinehelp.microsoft.com/fr-FR/bing/hh204487.aspx

Ping service
Using your browser’s address bar, you can directly submit your Sitemap to Bing. Type the following: http://www.bing.com/webmaster/ping.aspx?sitemap=www.mysite.com/sitemap.xml substituting the full URL to your Sitemap file in place of the “mysite.com” example.

Even if the sitemap is in the robots.txt (that helps bing)
